Get with someone that has a Planetstrike book (there are at least three to four within the group), or find a PDF of it on the internet.

A quick run down of how planet strike works and the main differences.

FOC additions:
Attacker gets 3 HQ, 6 Elites, 6 Fast Attack
Defender gets 3 HQ, 6 Heavy

Defender gets to setup first and sets up the terrain. They also get bastions.
Attacker goes first and gets to drop an assault barrage on the the defender.

Game is 6 turns long I believe.

Then there are the strategems. Special rules you can take to augment your army.

There is other stuff too, but those are the basic differences.
